By David George Hogarth and printed in London by Lawrence and Bullen. 1904 first edition. 348 pp. 9 x 6. Hardcover full cloth. In fair condition, with light scuffing and wear to exterior. Small instances of tearing to cloth between front board and spine. Cracking to front hinge. Light shakiness to parts of text block. Some markings to front and rear. Includes color foldout maps at rear, along with black-and-white plates throughout. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece. David George Hogarth (1862-1927) was a British archeologist, author, and explorer who formed a close relationship with T.E. Lawrence, with whom he helped plan the Arab Revolt.
