212 pages including index + prelims & colour frontispiece. Green cloth boards. Boards faded by sunlight across the top and down spine junctions to front and rear board in a wide band. Backstrip of spine is detached and faded - inact with some wear at spine ends but will need to be restuck. Page ends are rough cut as of period. Endpapers lightly browned with age. However binding is strong, text is unimpeded and very clean. Book is illustrated with very attractive full page plates in b&w / two-tone by Charles Bathurst. Internally very nice condition.
