Hardcover no dustjacket, "First Published in December 1940," 660 pages + the large folding map in the rear pocket, the gray cloth has moderate edge-wear confined to the corners and spine-ends, the map has tiny areas of wear at the folds but very little loss, the binding is clean and tight and the contents are fine.
