Surrealist Photo Montage On Cover, Artist Unknown; This Could Be By James, Or One Of His Surrealist Friends. Covers Worn, Small External Tape Repairs To Top, Center, And Bottom Spine Edge; 1" Triangular Chip At Center Of Right Edge Of Front Cover; Content Clean, But All Pages Detached As A Group While Still String-Bound. Edward James, British Heir, Usually Considered To Be A Son Of Edward Vii, Author, Was An Important Collector And Supporter Of Surrealism. His Family Home, The West Dean Estate, He Donated To Found A College Devoted To Fostering Skilled Useful Arts.He Took As His Personal Home A Smaller House On The Estate, Monkton, Which He Filled With Surrealist And Other Fine Art, Including Work On The House Itself By Noted Surrealists. While In Hollywood, He Advocated For The Saving Of The Watts Towers After They Were Abandoned By Simon Rodia. By His Design And At His Own Expense. Las Pozas ("The Pools") Was Created By James Circa 1949-1984, More Than 2,000 Feet (610 M) Above Sea Level, In A Subtropical Rain Forest. It Includes More Than 80 Acres (32 Ha) Of Natural Waterfalls And Pools Interlaced With Towering Surrealist Sculptures In Concrete. - All items are guaranteed to be fully described as to condition, with defects noted. Items are returnable for any reason within 30 days of receipt, or later by mutual agreement; for returned items, prior telephone or e-mail notice is required, as well as proper packing and, if appropriate, insurance. When items are found to not be as described, we will pay reasonable return shipping costs from the country to which we originally sent the item or, if returned from the US, the actual return postage amount..

Shipping terms
Postage, handling and insurance are extra, at estimated cost and processing fee. Shipment at standard rates is for small to standard sized books via media mail within U.S., or via Priority Mail envelope overseas, with tracking. Standard shipping costs are based on books of standard size with shipping weight of 4 pounds or less; if a book order is heavier or oversized, extra shipping costs may be charged. Non-standard and higher-valued international shipments are charged estimated postage and shipping costs, including full insurance for all shipments valued over $200.
