First edition thus, the Lincean issue with an added preface by the Academy's president. The author and Nobel Laurette in Physics Emilio Segrč's own copy. Although unsigned, this was Segrč's own copy with his note on the rear endpage referring to a correction needed on page 180, and on that page he has crossed out the incorrect attributed publication and noted the correct one, no other markings in the book. A fine clean tight copy in publisher's printed green wrappers. Laid in is a cataloging slip from Peter Howard's legendary Serendipity Books in Berkeley regarding this volume. While not noted as such, Serendipity had a number of volumes from Segrč's library from which this volume was also sourced. A bit of creasing to the edge of the cataloging slip, else fine. Also laid in is a folded advertisement listing the other volumes published, and forthcoming from the Lincei's publications. Text in Italian. Seller Inventory # 003122
