Together, they have forty-one years of experience training people to communicate with their dogs in solving "problems" occurring with dog/human interaction. Over the years, they have worked privately with over 3000 families and over 5000 individual dogs. Duff began his K-9 handling career in law enforcement in 1982, having graduated from Rudy Drexler's School for Dogs, a prestigious and respected school known for humane and effective training for dogs in everything from man-tracking, narcotics detection and personal protection. Duff's law enforcement career began in 1972 with the Washington, D.C. Police Department; he was then recruited to the police departments of Georgetown University and Falls Church, Va., before moving to the Wexford County Sheriff's Department in northern Michigan, from which he retired. She was the first female Special Deputy in Wexford County and was Duff's back-up K-9 handler. In addition, Duff holds a bachelor's in social sciences and a master's in animal science.
