8vo, ca. 5.5" x 8.75 ", .pp xv,[1 folding map], 402, [2] with color frontispiece , beautifully and recently rebound in reddish orange leather covered boards in near fine condition, with gilt lettering and other decoration of the backstrip, x- library copy with punched letter name on title page and on first chapter page- possibly elsewhere in book, but no other markings spotted. The map at the front of the text is torn cleanly along a fold and a second section is partly torn along fold, but all content of the map is present. Contents good, but paper is becoming brittle from age and exposure at the edges- a few early pages have been strengthened. Paper is age toned- especially near edges. Overall, good copy of the text this scarce work in a fine binding - but x-library. Note: due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA will probably cost more than that of an average book.
