Item description from seller

Octavo, 149pp. Red cloth, title stamped in gilt on spine. No additional printings noted. A few unopened leaves, clean text throughout, a fine copy. In the publisher's scarce dust jacket, $1.75 retail price on front flap, chipping along edges, loss at bottom edge of rear panel, closed tear to front panel, a very good example. John D. Rockefeller Jr. (1874-1960) was an American financier and the only son of John D. Rockefeller. Rockefeller was the founder of Standard Oil Company in 1870, which he ran until 1897. At its peak, Standard Oil controlled 90% of all oil in the United States, making the Rockefeller family the richest American family of all time. Rockefeller Jr. was one of the largest real estate holders in midtown Manhattan, with the construction of Rockefeller Center in 1931. Rockefeller Jr. was the father of six children, including Vice President Nelson Rockefeller.
