First Edition/First Printing. Near fine book in a very good unclipped dust jacket. The black cloth book with a red topstain has some edge wear and softening to the spine tips. The jacket, priced at $2.50 has restoration to the verso along the spine and edges. Although the book attributes the translation from Italian by Ford Maddox Ford, Ford himself confirmed the translator as Jean Rhys and his name shown by a publisher mistake in this printing. A rough astonishing novel set in Montmartre during 1920's Paris, far from the literary accounts by American writers of the time. A forgotten classic. Seller Inventory # 002575
