A 30mm tear to left side of spine by staple. A 12mm tear to margin of front cover. Inside of front cover has "Phantom No 37" in ink and a small clipping of the phantom pasted in by previous owner, and a star design rubber stamp. A couple of rubber stamps on rear cover: "R D" on inside of rear cover, and a small decorative stamp on the outside of the rear cover. Protected in mylar sleeve with alkaline buffered acid-free backing board.; Early New Zealand edition of "The Phantom" comic. Published fortnightly. 20 pages including covers. Cover in portrait format, while the contents are in landscape format. Page dimensions: 245 x 178mm. This issue contains the second of three parts of the story "The White Monkey" (Reference: Brian Shedden, "The Phantom: A Publishing History in New Zealand", online, accessed August 2024.).
