Prior ownership of William Baird Westmore dated 1810, at that time a student of medicine at The University of Pennsylvania. His manuscript notebook from the 1811-12 lectures of Dr. Benjamin Rush is held at William & Mary special collections. Westmore's, notes and doodles fill the first two endpages; his several ownership signatures to each of the first 3 pages. Subsequent ownership of Benjamin R Baine[? ] top edge of Preface leaf dated 1840 at Epping Forest. Text printed in 2 colums. [433] unnumbered pages. Leather scuffed and rubbed with corner tips bumped and bruised Expected scattered toning to text block. Prior owner was from Virginia and began medical practice there after finishing his studies in Philadlephia. How the book went to England and back is another story.
