Very good plus first edition book in very good dust jacket. Black cloth covered boards with gilt/maroon phoenix emblem on front cover; gilt text on spine. Boards are clean, text and graphics minimally rubbed. Outermost edges at head and tail of board spine are lightly faded. One 1/2" by 1/8" stain on fore-edge of pages. Book is internally clean. Dust jacket is scuffed and somewhat soiled overall. Edges at head and tail of jacket spine have loss of 1/4" across width with adjacent chips, creases and closed tears. Back corner at head of jacket spine has loss of 1/2" by 3/8". Folds are rubbed and creased. Upper left fore-edge corner on back panel has loss of 5/8" by 1/2". Other fore-edge corners have loss of approx. 1/4" by 3/8". Several horizontal creases and closed vertical tears along upper and lower edges. Inside flap corners have small uniform clips.
