Add to basketA wonderful hand made album containing captioned original photographs of the exteriors and signs of various English pubs, with images taken between 1955 and 1957. Featuring images of sixty-two pubs, including the Air Balloon at Abingdon, The Machine Man at Long Wittenham, The Cat and Custard Pot at Shipton Moyne and The Load of Mischief at Blewbury. A beautiful primary source. These pubs are represented with seventy-one photographs, each captioned with the pub name, location, and year of the photograph. With a neatly handwritten, alphabetically arranged index to the start of the work, what follows is thirty five single sided leaves bearing mounted photographs and their captions. With an advertisement for the filing company that produced this binding to the verso of the front wrap. In the original paper file binding. Significant rubbing to wrap perimeters and back strip, with losses of paper to back strip, and discolouration. Internally, firmly bound. Photographs mounted, with neat ink handwritten captions. Very Good.
