All of the poems had appeared before with many of them being published in 'A Round of Days' and 'Wayside Posies'.A very scarce work.Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and numerous full page and vignette illustrations, drawn by a host of noted artists and engraved on wood by the Brothers Dalziel.In the publisher's original cloth.This work features a collection of illustrated poems from a variety of authors including; William Allingham, Thomas Campbell, Robert Buchanan and Jennett Humphreys. Every poem is accompanied by illustrations which are drawn by eminent artists such as W. Brooks and Birket Foster and have been engraved by the Brothers Dalziel. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with fading to the spine and to the extremities of the boards, bumping to the extremities, a damp stain to the head of the rear board, a very slight lean, marks to the boards and very small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine.
