About this Item
Where Have All the Dust Jackets Gone, Long Time Passing, Long Time Ago. I have them, or at least the Only one of any copy of this book that is currently for sale on the Internet. I believe my copy is also, if you care, a first edition (NAP). As you can see from the photos, the red covers are very clean. They have only minimal wear, small spots of rub-through at two of the corners, a light bump/crease at the front top corner, a little bit of crinkling at the bottom edge of the spine. Somebody wanted everybody to know that this book was once owned by the Division Of Nuclear Medicine. They penned that fact on the blank first front end paper, and then had the inspiration to do it again on the middle page edge. On the end paper the date 6/77 is also penned. Happily, the text was unmolested, there is no writing to be found anywhere in the text. There 163 pages, and these pages are very clean. I scrolled through them and saw only two light spots of soiling, both away from the print. The bump to the front top corner created only a tiny light crease at the tip of the top corner of eight or so early pages, nothing much of anything. I didn't see any other creasing on any of the other pages. There are no markings. There are no attachments. There are a good many illustrations, actually on just about every page. Drawings, graphs, figures, photographs, The book is square and quite solidly bound with nicely tight pages throughout. The covers are nicely tight as well. And then there is the lonely jacket. It's persistence has not been without injury, there is a small loss at the top edge of the spine and just adjacent off the top edge of the rear cover. There are also several edge tears and some scuffing/rubbing. The flaps are in very good condition. The jacket is not priced or clipped. I've placed it in a fitted protective cover. Professor Sandler has some smarts. He received a B. S. in electrical engineering from Case Institute of Technology in 1954, the M.Eng. in electrical engineering from Yale University in 1955, the M.A. in applied physics from Harvard University in 1958, and the Ph.D. in applied physics from Harvard University in 1962, when he was 11 years old. Which part of that is not true? Seller Inventory # 003292
