First edition with a map and 24 small hand-coloured illustrations pasted onto pale yellow thick paper with tissue guards. Text in English. Illustration size: 9 x7 cms / 3 5/8 x 2 3/4 ins. Map covers area of Pau and Tarbes in the north to Cauterets and the Spanish Border. Lourdes above the centre. Newly rebound in full leather. Raised bands with gilt lining. Leather title label. Blind-stamped lining and motif to corners on boards. Inside, new marbled endpapers. Map foxed, as is the tissue guard, with some offsetting to the title page. Very occasional spot in text.Small edge tear to margin of dedication page. Tissue guards foxed.Vertical striations to a couple of the pictures. One pasted not straight. See photos.
