Numerous illustrations in the text, from photos and engravings.5.25 X 7.5 inches. the book has some tape marks on the front and rear pastedowns, name in pen and ex-libris blndstamp on the front free endpaper, also offsetting to th eendpapers. The corners are a bit worn, one lower corner has the cloth worn through to the board which has softened. The spine has a bit of a lean to it. Otherwise quite a good copy,
