En 2016, il publie aux Belles Lettres, 1929 jours, le deuil de guerre au XXIe si�cle. Mathieu Fotius est n� en 1983. Pilote d’h�licopt�re pour l’arm�e fran�aise, il op�rait sur le terrain afghan en 2011. Le 11 juin 2011, l’h�licopt�re gazelle qu’il pilotait s’est �cras�, tuant le capitaine Matthieu Gaudin qui se trouvait � bord.
