About this Item
Inspired by the tragic case of Edith Thompson (the Ilford murder) it later inspired Sarah Water's novel The Paying Guests. It was filmed for television in 1973 starring Francesca Annis. Red cloth faded at spine and frayed at spine corners. Page edges slightly browned/foxed and a little internal foxing but otherwise contents very good with one small inscription to front free end paper. A very scarce title. Seller Inventory # 003757
