Under a grant from the McLean Foundation of Toronto, the authors compiled this 66 page collection of TWO-PART arrangements of Canadian Folk Songs. Some songs are of European orig., some of these have been Canadianized and others are orig. Canadian. Samples of tunes incl. are : Iroquois Lullaby, Un Canadien Errant, Lukey's Boat., Alberta Homesteader, We'll Rant and We'll Roar, Little Rock (Petit Rocher), & Flunky Jim. Cond: Green paper stapled wrapper with an illus. from the title (Pine Tree . ) song. ALL edges and corners are sharp. Staples are tight, volume CLEAN. Occas. MARGIN notes in light pencil. No names, tears, creases, nor folds. Giftable ! Quote (p. 47) : " The coureurs-de-bois were probably our first composers and `Petit Rocher' is thought to be the first Canadian song about a Canadian incident. It dates from the early 1700's and is about a dying fur-trapper, Cadieux, a famous Canadian voyageur. " Size: 8vo.

I can handle your credit card transactions ONLY through the ABE.commerce program. PAYPAL is also a workable option. We under rate the condition of our books, build cardboard shipping sleeves for protected shipping and respond promptly to requests and queries. Shipping and handling on all books is at the expense of the purchaser, and is often in the $12.95 per item range. Book weight and volume purchases will alter these conditions.
