1st ed., 4to., pp.126, profusely illustrated with b&w plates and four colour plates, tissue guards, stamp to verso of most plates, top right hand corner of pages lightly creased, lower fep damaged, original papered boards, some loss to corners, lower spine lifting, prev owner's inscr to upper front bd, very good condition of this rare book Rare work on Pinus longifolia [long-leaved native Indian pine] found growing naturally in Himalayas from Kashmir to Bhutan. The aromatic wood is used in Hindu medicine and is considered a stimulant, diaphoretic and useful in burning of the body, used generally in combination with other medicines.
