INCOMPLETE with 25 of the 26 Plates and 18 of the 20 Text Pages Damaged and Damp Stained with los to pages 17/18 and Plate 24. The British Library states that the initial [2]p (engr. tp.) = first numbered plate . With marginal damage to some of the plates see images all plates and text photographed; damaged page 17/18 with bottom corner torn off and text missing, lacking pages 19/20 the Appendix. Frayed and damp stained to many plates and some text. Plate 24 with damage and loss to the outer edge. All other plates have the outer edge through to the black margin surround. Plate 8 is replaced with a facsimile copy which has been tipped (glued at one end) on to Plate 7 so out of sequence. Cropped tightly to the early text pages and the list of Subscribers with some loss of text see photos. Damp staining throughout. What looks like a child s writing to the reverse of some of the maps and to the outer edge of the front of Plate 13. Pencil inscription to the text of the last Subscriber s page. Repairs to the verso of all the text pages (after the plates) not impacting the text but tight onto some of the text. Closed tears to many of the pages and maps some into the map or plan itself. Together with correspondence of the previous owner with the University College Library, Bangor. External Dimensions: 27.5 by 20cm. Scarce volume 13 copies in 11 British Libraries and 5 copies in International Libraries. Approximately 7 ¾ inches tall by 11 inches wide. Condition Report Externally Spine poor condition no titles, cracks and loss to the leather. Joints poor condition holding but cracked and worn with loss. Corners poor condition bumped and worn with loss of the leather quarters. Boards fair condition marked, lacking the quarters and marbled paper incompletely covering the boards. Page edges fair condition all edges tanned and foxed and softened with age. See above and photos. Internally Hinges poor condition cracked and open, rear board fragile. Paste downs fair condition plain, tanned and foxed. End papers absent. Title fair condition tanned and foxed. Pages fair condition marked, soiled and well used, foxed to the plates, damp stained throughout but more prevalent to the rear text pages of the volume, see above for detailed page and plate condition all plates photographed.
