Pale blue cloth hard cover with black titles on front and gilt titles on slightly faded spine and minor wear to spine ends, with some soiling of boards, but book remains attractive! There is a book plate inside front cover - The gift of M Oppenheim (1853-1927, pioneer historian of English naval administration) to Bath Public Reference Library in 1919, but none of the usual lending library stamps, although there are some discrete embossed library characters inside and a small faded white catalogue number on lower spine. Some browning of viii, 310 clean pages. Published in 1903 scarce 1st edition in good to very good condition.
