Dust jacket is in a protective cover, has color worn at edges, missing a piece at top of spine. chips and small tears to edges, folds and wrinkles, Front board is cracked in the gutter. Pages are clean and without tears with some age related browning. Top corner of spine faded where the dj price is missing. Nine color and b&w illustrations by Wauneta Wyoming Robb. A "Poddy" is an orphaned calf; the author was a "poddy" boy who worked his way to top cowhand starting in his home state of Texas and to Montana and Wyoming.
