Very rare original 1883 Victorian poetry book "Poems of History, by the Most Famous Poets of all Ages: Relating to Most Notable Nations, Eras, Events, and Characters of the Past, from the time of Adam to the year 1883." The book is overall in good condition with some signs of wear and age. The covers have some moderate scuffing and wear. The binding is good and sound. All of the page edges are gilt. The interior is lightly toned from age with the occasional light bit of foxing & grubbiness. Along with that there may be some kind of other minor imperfection such as a tiny chip or tear, minor stain or marking, creased page corner, minor interior crack, etc. Generally though, it's a good copy. The book measures approximately 9 1/8 inches by 7 1/4 inches and is 468 pages long with a few black and white plates. It contains poetry by various authors relating to the history, events & people of various places including Egypt, the Middle East, the United States, Greece, the United Kingdom, Russia, &c. *******This book will require additional shipping charges if being sent outside of the United States*******.
