A VG clean tightly bound copy of this scarce collection of the Poet Laureate William Whitehead. William Whitehead (1715 1785) was an English poet and playwright. He became Poet Laureate in December 1757 after Thomas Gray declined the position. This work comprises of a collection of William Whitehead's poetry as well as his popular tragedy The Roman Father which was successfully produced by David Garrick in 1750. Seller Inventory # 3931
