London: for White, Cochrane, and Co., 1814. First Mitford edition. clxxxiv+271p. 2 plates including frontispiece. Both plates are portraits of Gray, one as a boy, the other in later years. Slight toning to paper, and foxing to second portrait with offsetting to adjacent pages. Otherwise internally very good. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Presentation inscription on blank page before frontispiece. Bound in half calf, with gilt decoration and lettering to spine, over marbled boards. Boards rubbed and worn at extremities.
