Hardcover in Good condition, 8vo, pages: iv,175. Paper-covered boards, re-backed with brown Japanese paper, remnants of title from back-strip retained, edges untrimmed. First edition. Re-backed, corners worn and boards darkened and scuffed, contents very good with some tanning of leaves. Bookseller accession no.: 15062. Pigott's list of "personages" includes, The King, Queen, Prince of Wales, Duke of York, Pope Pius VI, Emperor, King of Prussia, Spencer, Howe, Lord Grenville, Warren Hastings, Louis XVI, among many others. Pigott (died 1794, the year before publication of this volume) was a British satirist and author of other "radical literature" including The Jockey Club in 1792.
