As unlikely as it seems today, this 48 page volume is the `biography' of Popper - the Motor Scooter who has beeen anthropomorphised to the point where he tells the story. Several adventure tales, ten in all, are included. Among them: finding a lost boy, delivering vegetables, and rescuing Old Sanders. Learn about weather-shields, Thunder Roll, tyres, side-car, punctures, and Hill Scramble. B/W illustrations are spare, they usually have one colour (red) added. Cond : Boards are blue with red lettering- spine only. End-papers are white. D.J. is grey with white lettering. D.J. graphic shows Benjamin and Popper scooting down the high street. D.J. is price-clipped. D.J. has light wear at all extremities. Spine top - d.j. only - has been badly crumpled. ELSE book is pristine and beautiful. No names nor marks. Collectible ! ! Quote (p. 28) : " A few minutes later a large lorry arrived. Two men jumped out of the cab and let down the back. It formed a ramp up which they pushed Popper.
