First American edition, and first edition thus, with Renwick's improvements. 12mo. Illustrated with engravings. Publisher's quarter cloth and papercovered boards, with printed spine label. Erosion to the cloth spine, label darkened and well-chipped, spotting on boards, and foxing in the text, a good only copy. Renwick's additions include elucidations of the improvements made to the steam engine in America.
