First UK edition. 8vo. Original red cloth. Dust-jacket, priced 7s6d. A splendid example of the first UK edition, seemingly considerably scarcer than its US counterpart. A murder mystery novel and early predecessor to Silence of the Lambs, with a cold-hearted doctor helping a man bent on finding his brother's murderer.
