First Edition in publisher's blue cloth with large gilt design on front covers. Faded gilt type on spines. The binding is cracked, front and back on both volumes. This is a withdrawn library set from the Ames Library of South Asia at the University of Minnesota. Stickers on spine and back cover, large bookplates and pocket on the end pages. Internal sheets clean. All maps and illustrations present but several of the maps have separated at the crease, and are laid in, at the correct position. The large folding map is intact.
