58 pages. Virginia Somes Sanderson (1909-1990) is mostly known to those interested in Sheep Island, Somesville Harbor, Maine, where her family were pioneer settlers. She donated land and a home to create the Somes-Meynell Wildlife Preserve in 1984. She also wrote a history of Somesville, The Living Past. First edition (first printing).
