Hardback, green cloth, decorative gilt titles to spine, illustration to front board. Edges gilt. 27cm x 20cm. 324pp. Engraved title and 22 colour chromolithograph plates. 1st edition 1853. Spine and edges of boards slightly darkened, fraying to extremities. Newspaper clipping and bookplate pasted to front end-papers. Some occasional foxing to contents. Private ownership.
