Includes an appendix, a catalogue of drugs, prescriptions (pills, powders, syrups, tinctures). Bound in original tree calf? which is heavily worn, particularly to upper board, both front corners heavily scuffed with some loss and leather on the front board is separating from the under-board but still largely attached and intact. Spine has red title plate and gilt lettering. Spine has nicks, chips and a single 1cm closed tear to the head. Book has marbled end papers. The front free end paper is lost and the front fixed end paper is becoming detached displaying the reused printed matter used beneath. Indistinct notes and inscriptions to second free end paper. Front board is a little loosened but fully attached, rear board tight. Heavily foxed to end papers and title page, occasional foxing to other pages. Title page has a 1.5*2cm hole between 'Dictionary' and 'Domestic' in the title, though no words are missing. Text-block tight and though rippled leaves is in good order. Seller Inventory # 206535
