First edition of this scarce 19th century treatise on cancer in the female breast, much of which is written in earnest but some of which borders on quackery: Rodman goes so far to suggest that women who dress thinly are subject to cold which disorders their physiology, and that children who witness their parents suffer in death may themselves be subject to physical afflictions later in life. Title page remounted on paper stock; chips to page margins, with minor spotting internally, else a sound copy. OCLC locates 16 copies.
