Good, plus a bit in terms of binding strength. London: Frederick Warne & Co., 1891. First Edition. 7.5" x 5.25", 458 pp. including index. Maroon cloth, gilt spine imprint. Cloth exterior shows substantial front cover spotting, wear at corners, some peeling at front pastedown, but is solid, with strong hinges. See scans. Armorial bookplate of George F. Steele on front pastedown. Text block clean and crisp with the exception of half-clipped ffep and flyleaf, not affecting any text. Overall healthy copy of a very scarce cook book by the former manager of the St. James' Hall in London. See scans. L16n.
