Joints rubbed and starting, but sound, small hole in front free endpaper. A very good copy of a scarce book. First edition of a work intended to �fill up a remarkable gap in the course of elementary treatises intended for youth,� on �the art of just and accurate reasoning.� The author was a teacher of grammar and elocution, and the orientation of this book is largely linguistic. OCLC cites two copies outside Britain, at Chicago and Kansas.
