A wonderful and scarce copy of an early work on the use of X-rays in medicine with 11 plates, plus many diagrams. This book is doubly exciting as there are 12 X-ray photos containing depictions of what appear to be war injuries, likely from WWI (given clarity and material issues), laid in. Images show evidence of shrapnel, crushed bones and more. Book condition is about very good minus with rubbing, toning, block is near fine with toning to edges. Octavo, 208 pages + 32 pages of ads, blue cloth, gilt titles. Satisfaction guaranteed. Additional photos always available on request. Shipped in a fitted, padded box.
