Hardback, blue cloth, gilt title and illustrations to spine and front board. 26cm x 18.5cm. 317pp + 41 plates to rear, many folding. 3rd edition 1878. Spine slightly discoloured and frayed to ends. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown. Front inner hinge split across end-papers, binding remains firm and secure. A little occasional spotting. A decent copy. (12000).
