Attractive gilt decorated binding with gilt decoration to the spine compartments and both boards, inner gilt dentelles with marbled endpapers and paste downs. Pagination: [viii], 310pp. Provenance: “To Beatrice from Frank” to the front end paper. Approximately 6 ¾ inches (17cm) tall. Condition Report Externally Spine – very good condition – gilt titles, five raised bands, gilt decoration to compartments. Joints – very good condition – sound. Corners – very good condition – gently bumped and worn. Boards – very good condition – full morocco boards with extensive gilt decoration, minor marks and rubbing. Page edges – good condition – all gilt – minor marks and scratches. See above and photos. Internally Hinges – very good condition – sound. Paste downs – good condition – gilt filet to leather turn-ins, marbled paper. End papers – good condition – marbled paper, offset tanning to the edges from the leather. Title – good condition – lightly tanned. Pages – good condition – lightly tanned throughout with minor foxing. Binding – very good condition – attractive. See photos. …
