First edition. Thin 8vo tan pictorial cloth stamped in blue. Illustrated throughout with fine full-page color and duotone drawings by Elizabeth Orton Jones. Front inner hinge with a two-inch crack, but sound; otherwise fine and clean in a fine dust jacket which has only the slightest rubbing at the outer joint. Winner of the Caldecott Medal in 1945.
