The interior is clean, although this is a former University Library book; the only indications of ex-lib status are 'Withdrawn' stamps on the page ends and the bottom of the title page. The text is clean and unmarked and remarkably free of foxing. With some early newspaper clippings tipped in to the front. Over-all, a very clean, tight and usable copy of the first edition. Scarce.
