NY: Hearst's International Library, (1914). First edition. Green pictorial cloth, designed and lettered in black and light green. Frontispiece and numerous illustrations, some full-page. A slightly peculiar historical novel, with some fantastic, or at least visionary elements; at one point the Prince announces: "Free Love implies Compulsory Flirtation. Hereafter, throughout the principality, on every Wednesday evening, from the hours of eight till ten, every husband will call on his neighbor's wife! It was so ordered; it was so done." Smith: American Fiction 1901 - 1925: K-180. Smith notes that Kimball Atkinson is a joint pseudonym, but does not elaborate. Seller Inventory # 55086
