Fairy tale about a prince from the magical land of Pantouflia. In 144 pages + 2 pages of ads in rear: 5 pages have some coloring, all others & the 8 full-page plates & other illustrations are completely clean. A First Edition, unknown printing, from 1889, this 12mo (5" x 6.75") has red cloth-covered boards decorated & lettered in black to front & spine. Condition is Good, downgraded due to soil & external rubbing, fraying at corners & both ends of spine. Ffep is torn out, child's name & address in pencil inside front cover; all other pages unmarked except for some random foxing. Binding strong but slight rightward lean, hinges secure.
