A very good copy of the first edition (3rd printing), in a very good dust jacket (for its age), of this lecture by John Johnson, Printer to the University of Oxford. Dust Jacket: cream coloured paper with green decorative border to front and green lettering to all faces; front, spine and edges all darkened; small erosion to top of spine; slight rubbing to other edges but overall in very good condition for its age; not price clipped (now protected). Cover: brown and cream, bargello pattern, paper covered boards, with gilt lettering to spine; very clean and bright; few if any signs of shelf wear; in remarkable condition for its age. Internally: clean and tightly bound; very small neat gift inscription, dated 1941 to front fly leaf; no other inscriptions or book plates; occasional underlining or margin markings throughout (previous owner was a printer himself and was gifted the book by the Head of Medway College of Printing); top edges decorated, slight darkening to other edges.
