Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, World War II history, translated from the German, "How two of Heinrich Harrer's fellow prisoners escaped from the British and bluffed their way across India and Burma to the Japanese lines," includes a map, a small ink scribble that does not affect the text is present at the bottom of page 13, a price is present at the top front corner of the front end-paper, and a tiny edge-tear is present at top of epine, the binding is tight and the contents are fine, the jacket has edge-wear, the worst being a chip on the rear panel, also some tanning on the rear panel, the original price (3.75) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included.
