He is author of The Political Mobilization of Peasants: A Study of the Egyptian Community and co-editor (with Louis J. Cantori) of Local Politics and Development in the Middle East. DENIS J. SULLIVAN is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University. He is completing a book on private voluntary organizations and development in Egypt.
