About this Item

Quarter leather with black marbled boards. Gilt decoration and titles to backstrip, which is chipped to head and base of spine and the gilt is partially worn away with the leather rubbed and scuffed. Rubbing to edges of boards. Black and blue marbling to end papers with book plate to front paste down. Uncommon first edition by the author who was more famous for his Oriental studies. This is a metaphysical work on Philosophy and its governance by the use of language.
