DESCRIPTION: Paul Broste, born at Pekin, North dakota (1887-1975) built a unique museum in 1966 to house his incredible collection of rocks, minerals, and fossils that had been collected for more than 25 years. * * His museum was eventually turned over to the city of Parshall after Broste's death in 1975 but had to be closed in 1997 because funding was not available for needed repairs. * This book is a testament to Paul Broste's life. * The book has an extensive Index of Poems and Prose. The illustrations include 21 black and white photos as well as 7 colored photos. In addition to the 104 pages of this book is a supplement entitled, "The making of Stone Spheres." * * The supplement includes 8 chapters on creating stone spheres. * * CONDITION: The dustjacket shows chipping and wear. * The book is in excellent condition with very little wear on the cover or spine.
